After some hesitation, I finally gave in and ordered the new Brusho Crystal Colours from the Spring Summer Catalogue and went to work.

One of the new products in the new Spring Summer Catalogue are the Brusho Crystal Colours. They are highly pigmented water colour ink powders and they come in 5 colours. Yellow, Gamboge, Brilliant Red, Prussian Blue und Moss Green. Each colour also different coloured speckles in them. You can see it on the green/blue card. The Green Moss has speckles of Violet and the Gamboge is a orangy shade with yellows and reds in it.
To use them, it is recommended to make one or more little holes with a push pin in the lid and sprinkle the powder onto the paper. Do not actually open the pot. The powder is super fine (and therefore super messy if your not careful) and you only need a tiny bit of it. As you can see I also use the push pins to close the hole for storage. You can also use a piece of tape/washi etc.

So let’s get started. First we need Watercolour paper or Shimmery White paper. I haven’t tried with the Glossy paper as I don’t have it. I also tried the regular cardstock, but the result wasn’t real pretty as the paper just isn’t made for a lot of water.

I took a whole sheet of Shimmery White paper and sprinkled the colours onto the dry paper. On one side I used Yellow, Gamboge and Brilliant Red and on the other side Moss Green and Prussian Blue. Then I took my Stampin‘ Spritzer and and misted the paper over. The more water you add the more the colours will blend. Just like water colours. After drying the paper I trimmed it to the sizes I needed and glued them onto a cards using Fast Fuse.

The white die cuts are from the Petal Passion Memories & More Card Pack. I popped them onto the cards using teeny tiny bits of Dimensionals. The „friend“ stamp is from the Waterfront set and the „Enjoy“ stamp from the Climbing Orchid set.

I choose to leave it like that and not add any more decorations as I find the background is decoration enough 😉
