Also Stifte raus und selber schreiben.

Do you sometimes need a greeting or congratulations to which you don’t have the right stamp? Happened to me last week. I needed a nice big „hello“ and couldn’t find one in my stamp sets. So I grabbed a marker and wrote it myself. Right now I love brush lettering and it actually isn’t to difficult to learn and did you see the Calligraphy Essentials Project Kit in the new catalogue? It has 16 cards in 4 different designs and 13 calligraphy practice sheets. Woohoo. So grab some Markers (which are perfect for brush lettering) and start writing.
Here’s a tip for practicing. I use tracing paper to practice. It has a nice and smooth surface (important to protect the brush tips of the markers) and transparent enough that I can put the practice sheets underneath to use them as a template over and over again.
There’s also a stamp set available. The greetings are only outlined and can be traced with the markers. It also gives a nice effect if you aren’t quite accurate in staying inside the lines.
For my card, I haven’t used the stamps and just written the greeting by hand and then cut it out and glued on with Dimensionals. Since the flowers are rather big and slightly curled, I used two dimensionals on top of each other on the „hello“ to get it a bit higher.

The flowers and leaf are from the Pop of Petals stamp set which also has a matching Flower punch. For the leafs, I first punched out some flowers and then stamped the single left on each petal.

Somehow I forgot to retire my stash of white perfect accents as they aren’t in the current catalogue any more and that’s how they ended up on my card . But I’ve got a good if not better substitute for you. The Basic Adhesive-Backed Sequins. They come in 5 different colours and one of them is white.
