Pop of Petals zum Geburtstag

Diesen Streifen weißen Farbkarton mit den gestempelten Blüten und Blättern hatte ich schon ewig in meiner Resteverwertungskiste. Jetzt habe ich es endlich mal geschafft ihn zu kolorieren und eine hübsche Karte damit zu machen.

It’s been forever since I first made some DSP with the Pop of Petals stamp set. This strip was some leftover piece from another project and now I finally managed to use it and make a pretty card with it.

Gestempelt waren die Blüten in Schwarz. Ausgemalt habe ich sie mit den Aquarellstiften und anschließend ganz leicht mit den Aquapinseln verwischt. Zum Schluss hab ich noch eine Tropfen Brombeermousse Tinte in ein wenig Reinigungsalkohol gegeben und die Mischung dann mit einem Stampin‘ Spritzer aus ca. 50 cm höhe auf das Papier gespritzt. Ich habe Alkohol benutzt da dieser in Gegensatz zu Wasser fast sofort trocken ist. Das Wasser würde den einfachen Farbkarton, den ich verwendet habe, zu sehr aufweichen und unschöne Blasen bilden. Alles schon gehabt.

Die große Blüte habe ich in der Mitte mit einem Fingerschwämmchen in Osterglocke eingefärbt. Für die kleinen Blüten habe ich das Blütentrio aus dem Stempelset Pop of Petals‌ in Osterglocke gestempelt und dann mit den Blümchen Stanzen ausgestanzt. Die Mitte habe ich mit einem Marker aufgemalt.

Das Band habe ich mit Doppelseitigem Klebeband befestigt. Ich habe zwei Streifen nebeneinander an der Kante auf die Rückseite geklebt. Das gibt ein wenig mehr Fläche um das Band anschließend leicht gerafft aufzukleben.

The flowers were stamped in black. I now addes some colour with the watercolour pencils and then blended them with the Aqua Painters. I finished the panel with a spray or two of Blackberry Bliss. I mixed a drop of Blackberry Bliss ink with a little bit of rubbing alcohol and sprayed it form a height of about 50 cm onto the card. Alcohol dries almost immediately and since It’s regular cardstock, it doesn’t end well if you use water instead of the alcohol. The water would soften the cardstock to much and leave ugly bubbles behind. Not pretty at all. If you want to use water, I recommend you use either watercolour paper of Shimmery White paper.

After stamping the flowers I coloured the centre of the flowers with a sponge dauber. For the small flowers, I stamped the flower trio from the Pop of Petals set in Daffodil Delight and punched them out with the Bitty Blooms punches. The middle was painted on with a marker.

To make sure that the tape stays where it’s meant to, I added two strips of Tear and Tape side by side at the edge on the back of the card. That way you’ve got more glue to attach the ribbon. Especially if you ruffle or pleat the ribbon a bit.

Die Zierdeckchen haben zwei Seiten eine weiße und eine in Perlglanz-Optik. Ich habe mich für die weiße entschieden. Passt besser zu dieser Karte.
Nicht vergessen, das Pop of Petals Bundle gibt es nur noch bis ende des Monats. Stempelset und Stanze werden zwar übernommen, allerdings wird es nicht mehr das Bundle mit Preisvorteil geben.

The doilies have a plain white and a pearlized side . I opted for the white one. I liked this side better for this card.
Remember, the Pop of Petals Bundle will only be available until the end of the month. While the stamp set and punch do carry over, the discounted bundle won’t.
