Inspire.Create.Challenge #088 – Sailing Home with Jo

Hallo und willkommen zur neuen Inspire Create Challenge. Heute ist es wieder eine Inspiration Challenge. Die Vorlage stammt diesmal von Jo Blackman.

Hello and welcome to a new Inspire Create Challenge. Today it’s another inspiration challenge. This time we have a beautiful card from Jo Blackman to inspire us.

Ich habe das Fischgrätmuster etwas gerade gerückt und daraus eine „Backsteinmauer“ gemacht, die durch die maritimen Dekoteile an eine Kaimauer erinnern soll.

As much as I love the heringbone pattern, I wanted to slightly change it a bit. I straightened the herringbone pattern and made a “brick wall” out of it, which, together with the maritime bits and pieces, is supposed to remind you of a quay wall.

Als erstes habe ich die Vorderseite der Grundkarte geprägt. Dafür einfach das Papier bis zur Falzlinie in die Prägeform legen und prägen. Dann die vielen kleine „Backsteinziegel“ auf ein separates Stück Farbkarton kleben und anschließend auf die richtige Größe schneiden. Unten habe ich das Maß für das fertige Stück angegeben. Ihr könnt es erst mal etwas größer schneiden. So habt ihr am Ende schöne gerade und gleichmäßige Kanten.
Anker und Kompass sind mit StazOn Tinte auf Metallic-Folienpapier in Messing gestempelt. Das Band in Zimtbraun ist mit Glue Dots aufgeklebt damit man danach noch den Leinenfaden durch fädeln kann.

First, I embossed the front of the card. Simply place the paper in the embossing folder up to the fold line and emboss. Then glue all the small “bricks” onto a separate piece of cardboard and then cut them to the right size. Below I have given the measurements for the finished piece. You can cut it a little bigger first. So you end up with nice, straight and even edges.
Anchor and compass are stamped with StazOn ink on metallic foil paper in brass. The ribbon in Cinnamon Cider is glued on with glue dots so that you can easily thread the linen thread through.
