Inspire.Create.Challenge #097 – Freundschaftsblüten in Aquarell

Hallo und willkommen zur neuen Inspire Create Challenge. Diesmal ist es wieder eine Farbchallenge und für mich war es schon eine Herausforderung. Mit einer der Farben kann ich wirklich nicht viel mit anfangen und ich benutze sie auch sehr selten. Jedoch habe ich eine Methode gefunden um diese Farbe zu verwenden die mir richtig gut gefällt.

Hello and welcome to a new Inspire Create challenge. It’s a colour challenge and let me tell you, it was quite the challenge for me. Theres one colour that I don’t use very often if at all. But I found a way to use it that I like very much.

Die Blüten sind auf weißem Farbkarton aquarelliert. Dafür habe ich die Wassertankpinsel verwendet. Erstaunlicherweise ist die Farbe von Calypso beim aquarellieren anders als beim stempeln. Beim stempeln ist die eher matt und blass rot/orange. Beim aquarellieren jedoch ist sie kräftiger und eher rot. Ich habe auch festgestellt das man auf diesem Farbkarton (der neue Grundweiß Farbkarton) besser aquarelliern kann. Das Papier verträgt etwas mehr Wasser als der alte Farbkarton in Flüsterweiß. Den Rand des Etiketts habe ich auch mit einem Wassertankpinsen eingefärbt. Die gelben Sprenkel sind mit der Pinsel spitze auf-getupft.

I painted the flowers with the Water Painters on Basic White cardstock. Amazingly, the colour of Calypso Coral is different when it’s applied with the Water Painters than when it is stamped. When stamping it is a rather dull and pale red/orange colour. When you use Water Painters however it is brighter and more red than orange. I also noticed that you can watercolour better on this cardstock (the new Basic White). This paper can withstand a little more water than the old whisper white cardstock. I also dyed the edge of the label with a brush. The yellow speckles are dabbed on with the tip of the brush.
